Blaze Manufacturing staff Russell Ingram, Dougie Young and Jamie Johnson tackled the Corrieyairack Challenge, a gruelling 52 mile cycle ride following in the footsteps of Bonnie Prince Charlie, over Scotlands highest mountain road. The team encountered strong head winds, driving rain, flooded streams and slippery mountain terrain all in the aid of Charity.
The Blaze team put in a blistering performance with Dougie Young clinching 2nd place overall and in the Senior category (on a rented bike!) with a time of 4hr 10mins. Russell Ingram came in a highly commendable 5th in the Vet category and Jamie Johnson finished in a commendable 9th in the Senior category from a large field of entrants.
Jamie (left) Russell (centre) and Dougie (right) formed part of an 8 person team raising £1188 for the Speyside Trust Badaguish Outdoor Centre, which helps people with a disability enjoy a fulfilling outdoor holiday. Blaze, co-workers and friends of the team contributed generously to the teams fundraising. Donations can be made via the Justgiving page below:
